Director of GLHT Education

The Rice 360° Global Health Technologies (GLHT) initiative is an innovative educational program that trains undergraduate students from all disciplines to use engineering design to develop and implement appropriate health technologies for resource-poor settings. The Director of GLHT Education leads the Rice 360° GLHT initiative and is responsible for coordination of the GLHT minor, curriculum development, international undergraduate internships and exchanges, design challenge collaborations, and educational outreach efforts and partnerships within the Texas Medical Center (TMC) and abroad. click here to apply

Director of Communication

The Rice 360° Director of Communications is responsible for advancing the Institute’s mission by developing, implementing and evaluating a comprehensive communications and marketing effort to enhance visibility of its programs, expanding the Institute’s audience and prominence and increasing donor support. This position is responsible for the editorial direction, design, production, and distribution of all Rice 360° communication. click here to apply

Chief Electronics Designer

The Rice 360° Chief Electronics Designer is responsible for the design of electronics components in technologies designed by the Rice 360° Institute for Global Health with a primary focus on technologies within the NEST360° project. The Chief Electronics Designer will interact extensively with engineers and clinicians, both domestic and in Africa, in support of the initial design and improvement of the electronic aspects of technologies. click here to apply

Graphic Designer
The Rice 360° graphic designer is responsible for advancing the Institute’s mission by developing and producing visual solutions for its communications, marketing, fundraising, research, and education efforts. This position will work with teams to produce a wide range of graphics and layouts for print and electronic publications including event and promotional materials, newsletters, invitations, social media, technical illustrations, and training manuals. click here to apply
Technical Writer 
The Rice 360° technical writer, under the supervision of Rice 360° co-directors, Dr. Rebecca Richards-Kortum and Dr. Maria Oden, will work with diverse teams to write and edit research reports, grant reports, and scientific publications.  The ideal candidate is a resourceful and versatile wordsmith and can communicate complex information using clear and compelling language. NEST Training Materials Coordinator 
The Rice 360° NEST training material coordinator will work with the NEST360° education team on the creation, compilation and dissemination of a suite of education materials for workforce development of clinicians, biomedical technicians, and biomedical engineers in sub-Saharan Africa. The ideal candidate can manage the competing needs of multiple stakeholders and is able to work in a highly collaborative and multi-cultural environment. click here to apply
