One of the biggest strengths of the NEST360° plan is its multi-disciplinary team. Newborn mortality is a complex problem and each of our team members bring a unique lens to the table that allows us to better see the big picture. Without this diverse team, we believe it would not be possible to tackle newborn mortality in a comprehensive and sustainable way.
The NEST360° team started at Rice University and has extended beyond to include members from Northwestern University, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, Malawi College of Medicine, Malawi Polytechnic, 3rd Stone Design, Ifakara Health Institute, Center for Public Health and Development, and Oxford KEMRI-Wellcome Trust, as well as partner institutions: Malawi University of Science & Technology, Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology, University of Lagos, University of Ibadan, and Kenya Pediatrics Association.
