Rice 360: Institute for Global Health Technologies will host a workshop on Transitioning Global Health Technologies from Labs to LDCs on November 6, 2009. The workshop will bring leading experts in the field together to advance the discussion of how to bring health technologies from prototype to wide-scale dissemination in the developing world. It will include successful case studies of global health technology transition, presentations on new appropriate health technologies, and a discussion of regulatory issues and medical ethics concerns. It will also feature demonstrations of emerging health technologies developed at Rice University.
